I think most people believe that since most states have some form of re-opening that the virus is gone. We still must have the safety protocols in place. This is a nasty easy to catch virus that is deadly!
With the states reopening happening more businesses are being opened which is a good thing, however, re-opening means that the businesses that are allowed to re-open must follow the re-opening guidelines and have them in place to protect the people and it is imperative that those re-opening guidelines be followed. This is the new normal for businesses!
And with the warmer weather and after being stuck at home for weeks, the need to get out is great and if you live in an area were the weather is always nice, the need to get outside is even greater.
To have indoor and outdoor festivities at home is simple; since we have to always wear masks, frequently wash our hands, constantly clean high traffic areas (surfaces), then the best way to have an at home event and keep this virus away; this is what you should do.
Event Guests and Location (Space)
The guest total will depend on the space. Remember there must be adequate space that your guests can remain 6 feet apart.
Try not to have more guest than your location can handle. Example: enough space so that your quests can remain 6 feet.
Masks
Masks must be worn by EVERYONE, be sure to let your guest know that they must wear a mask or face covering. You can provide these for the guests who arrive without one.
Hand Sanitizers
Have a bunch of hand sanitizers ready, in several locations thru out your home and if the event will be outside have even more hand sanitizers outside.
You can even purchase or make personal size hand sanitizer and give them out as guest arrive but still have several bottles in various location in your home or outside.
Food
Ensure that ALL food is monitored and maintained cleanliness at all times (remember this virus is caused by touch); ensure that all food served by someone and not self-serve buffet style or if self-serve buffet style should not be an option (safty first) have someone watching over the food and ensuring the area is kept cleaned at all times. Try to keep the food in ONE location this will make it easy to maintain the area.
With so much going in the world right now and the weather warming up; it such a need for joy and peace; if you decide to have an event at your home; make sure everyone is safe, practice the CDC guidelines and most of all have FUN!
God Bless….
