These are the items that I want for Christmas or my birthday…Lol My birthday is 1 week after Christmas (you guessed it, my birthday is on New Years Day)

She is a great person, so the book must be great, would love this for Christmas.

Last week we had a training and he was a guest speaker via video, had me in TEARS. Must read this book.

I’m such a fan of Alex Cross (I know he is just a character in a book, but I’m still a fan), love the books, need to add this book to my library.

Love this luggage and it holds so much clothing and its on wheels, which makes moving with it easier.

The First Snow Day of 2018

It's Friday, November 16th and our first snow storm of 2018, started yesterday evening. It was actually beautiful to look at but not good drive in or walk in. Lol

It's a 2 hour delay today for schools in our area, and on a day like today I'm GLAD, I work from home. I am finalizing my plan for the holiday season and I'm and I will be READY, I have an idea of what I want to do, but for me I have to write everything down. I love planning keeps me organized.

Thanksgiving in the United States is next Thursday, November 22, 2018. My family normally gets together at my niece’s house or at my oldest son’s house. Our Thanksgiving meal is really a feast, there is so much food, that if you at half of the meal you will definitely be stuff until your stomach aches…Lol

Here is what our meal (feast) would consist of:
•Turkey
• Ham
• Beef
• Collard Greens and or Cabbage
• Candied Yams
• Macaroni and cheese
• Potato Salad
• Some type of seafood or fish
• Stuffing
• String Beans
• Ziti or Lasagna
• Assorted cakes
• Brownies
• Cookies
• Sweet potato pie

I usually make the potato salad and macaroni and cheese and everything else my niece or my son’s girlfriend make (depending on which house we have dinner. Our family normally eats late (at least to me its late), which is supposed to be at 4pm, but we never get started until about 6pm. Since our family is known for starting extremely late, I will make a very small meal for my own home. Which will consist of:

• turkey or chicken
• Fried Cabbage
• Mac and cheese
• Candied Yams
• Potato Salad
• Sweet Potato Pie for dessert

See my prior blog post for my potato salad recipe in it it has my secret ingredient that I utilize to bring out the flavor in this dish.

November 2nd, which means the holiday season has begun, at least for me it has begun. Lol

Have you determined what your holiday plans are?

Will you be traveling?

Is the holiday meal at your house or at a relative or friend’s house?

What is your holiday budget? Have you determined what you will spend this holiday season?

What gifts will you buy? Who are you buying gifts for this holiday season?

These are the basic questions you must ask yourself to prepare for the holiday season.

Always remember that nothing just happens, it must be planned.
