Now we don't eat the same meal plan each and every week, although it feels like it sometimes. I will look for new and exciting things to prepare for the meals we eat.Can you believe it’s that time of the year again, the most wonderful time of the year for us parents? Its Back to school time. My daughter is sort of excited, but could take a few more days off for the summer.
I don’t have much back to school shopping to do because she wears school uniforms and her uniforms are in good condition (she changes into regular clothes IMMEDIATELY after she gets home from school. So, all I have to do is get a few slacks and sneakers and I’m done.
When school starts back the end of this month, we will be back on a meal plan, here is a what we will start with:
Sunday - always a big meal don't know why but its been this way since I was a kid and it seems to have stuck with me into my adulthood.
Mondays - since Sunday is a huge meal day, Monday will be "Left Overs" meal.
Tuesdays - 90% of the time will be "Taco Tuesdays" since my daughter and I love tacos we make lots of tacos (soft and hard), she even helps make dinner, she is a great sous chef.
Wednesdays - since its Bible Study night, it will be something quick like spaghetti, or raviolis with a meat sauce
Thursday - Taco Thursdays, did i tell you we love tacos
Friday - another tradition since I was kid, some type a fish, with french fries or potatoes. Its amazing that we continue to do as adults that we did as a child.
Now we don't eat the same meal plan each and every week, although it feels like it sometimes. I will look for new and exciting things to prepare for the meals we eat.
What are your meal plans for the school year or for any week out the year. Do you even have a meal plan?
Our church is giving away backs packs with school supplies, so I will be preparing backpacks for Monday's distribution. I LOVE doing stuff like that.
I want to have a back to school party for my daughter, but unsure if I can pull it off because of my schedule,
The party will be simple, the menu would be chicken wings, potato salad, hot dogs, hamburgers, toss salad and that is it something simple.
I would give out school supplies as party favors. The school supplies would include, spiral notebook, pencils, pens, erasers again simple and most stores have these items on sale for less than a dollar.
What are your end of the summer plans, any parties you will be attending or that you have to prepare for?
