I like the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, I always wanted to be one when I grew up and even at 52, I still like the cheerleaders…Lol
Sunday is football day in my family house, my sons and daughter LOVE football and we get together for the Superbowl! Most Sundays we will be at each other’s home cook and watch the football game.
Our football menu usually consists of Sunday dinner:
- Mac & cheese
- Collard greens or cabbage
- Potato Salad
- Corn bread
We don’t decorate the house aside from wearing team shirts or hats, but for Super Bowl the house will be decorated. Here are a few items that you can use to decorate for your football dinners. If your team is not listed Google search for your team gears, these are our family teams:
Another event that happens at Football Season is Tailgating! Tailgating means host or attend a social gathering at which an informal meal is served from the back of a parked vehicle, typically in the parking lot of a sports stadium. Tailgating food can consist of:
- Barbecue (chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, steak, seafood)
- Cold salads (toss salad, macaroni salad, tuna salad)
- Grill vegetables
If you are or have been to a tailgating event, send me an email and tell me all about it. Here are some basic Tailgating planning tips.
- Find out the rules of the parking lot
- Bring your own food
- Wear your team colors
- Have Fun
- Clean up after your Tailgating party
Enjoy this football season!
