I live in New England and one of the best things about New England is the four seasons, Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall and the Fall Season is one of my favorite season. In the fall the colors are A-mazing, I absolutely love it (brown, orange, red and yellow are the dominate colors, there is a little green in these colors until around October. The weather is amazing too; you have the cool mornings and warm afternoons and then the cool evenings, but most of all in the Fall I love the BAKING and cooking.
I love baking cakes, brownies, cookies, pies and I love cooking soups, stews, biscuits and breads for some strange reason during the Fall season I will cook a-LOT!!
One of my favorite recipes that I stumbled on was Tomato Soup with BACON, from Pinch of Yum and it is so easy and soooooo good. We have had it with cheesy garlic bread and nothing else and that is our dinner.
Another Fall favorite is curry chicken in my crockpot, during the Fall season that crockpot of my gets used several times during the week, with such recipes like chicken and potatoes, beef stew, country ribs, and yes curry chicken. Watch on Sunday when my weekly meal plans are posted to the blog.
I am also looking forward to the outdoors events, some of the greatest events happen in the Fall of New England, the carnivals, fairs, festivals, Bazaars, craft fairs, etc.
- The Big E
- Hartford Marathon
- Various local festivals
- Local Farmer’s markets – YUMMY the Fall Farmer’s Market are the best!
I love the Bazaars/Festivals you can find some of the unique vendors there, I also will be a vendor and sell my gift baskets, I love creating gift baskets and selling them at Bazaars/Festivals, you meet some of the nicest people there.
Also, another thing I am looking forward this Fall is the Fall Season Premieres on TV (I am a TVholic, I can watch it all day and still be VERY productive). The shows that I watch regularly will soon be back on their regular schedule and I won’t have to keep watching re-runs. My favorite shows:And I’m sure I am missing others shows but I am excited for the Fall, and the good part is when I miss the original showing on TV, it can be watched online the next day.
There are only a very few new shows that I am looking forward to in the Fall and they are:
- All Rise
- Bluff City Law
- Mixed-ish
That’s all the other shows that I see the commercials for don’t appeal to me, but my current list will keep me busy watching the TV.
What are you looking forward to this Fall?
